Planning to volunteer on campus? Be sure to get fingerprinted early! It’s required for all on-site volunteers and allows you to support classroom activities like field trips, events, and more. Getting it done ahead of time means you’ll be ready when opportunities come up!
Talking Points is the primary way the school communicates important information. It is an app/tool that connects schools and families through text-style messaging. It can reach multiple audiences with multiple voices. For example, if English is your second language. Talking Points will send you updates in your primary language.
Google Classroom is a digital hub where teachers share assignments, updates, and resources with students. It helps keep learning organized and accessible, while giving families a window into the classroom. Tools and features may vary by teacher, but it’s designed to support communication, organization, and student success.
ParentVUE is a family portal that provides access to your child’s grades, attendance, schedules, and important school updates. It is governed by the district so you must go through EGUSD to get access.
IXL is an interactive learning platform that helps students practice key skills in math, reading, and other subjects. With real-time feedback and personalized learning, it supports student growth and confidence. Use and assignments may vary by classroom, but the goal is to strengthen skills and support learning every day. It also provides students with scores to let parents know where the child lands in proficiency.
Reflex is a game-based math program that helps students build fluency with basic math facts in a fun and engaging way. By adapting to each learner, it supports confidence and skill development. Activities and usage may vary by classroom, but the goal is to strengthen math foundations through consistent practice. You will frequently here your student say "I need to get my green light" that references their required Reflex material.
